Epic Exploration (Epic.Ex) is a private exploration company based in West Perth and exploring in the New Republic of South Sudan.
Epic.Ex has secured more than 65,000 square kilometres of exploration rights over four areas in South Sudan. These are highly prospective for gold, manganese, iron-ore, uranium and copper.
There are 16 known gold deposits in South Sudan.
Epic.Ex has also identified two drill-holes drilled as water-bores in 1951, known to contain significant quantities of manganese and haematite iron ore at shallow depth. These holes are in the oil producing region of the Upper Nile State.
All of Epic’s working areas are not located near any areas of elevated risk and one is within close proximity to developed oil well infrastructure. The gold projects are in the South within a few hours drive of the capital, Juba.
Epic.Ex has been granted temporary exploration and reconnaissance licences for all applications pending final promulgation of the Mining Bill 2011 during 2012.
It is our view that Epic.Ex is the most advanced Australian based exploration company in the new Republic.
Epic.Ex’s mineral exploration rights are held over five Counties in two States and encompass some 66,000 square km of under-explored land in the North Western Rift Valley and Nile Valley.
