Albert Murray Surtees, BSc Geology – Managing Director
Murray Surtees is a geologist with extensive experience working throughout Africa and in South America and Australia. Murray was for 7 years the Exploration General Manager for Anglo American’s eastern Africa Field Services based in Tanzania and on the Zambian Copperbelt. His management area covered Egypt, Djibouti, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Zambia, DRC Congo and Mozambique with offices in Asmara, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Lubumbashi and Kitwe. He was responsible for proving up the Buzwagi gold deposit and the Nyamulilima Hill section which was Anglo’s contribution to the Geita deal with Ashanti. Subsequent to leaving Africa, he has represented a number of Australian Junior companies, at Board level and at exploration level in pursuing resource development throughout Africa.
Allan Mulligan, Mining Engineer – Executive Director
Allan Mulligan is a mining engineer with 30 years of management and production experience. He has specialised in technical assessment and production economics, feasibilities, project design and costing of underground mines and prospects. Allan has worked extensively in exploration, mine development and operations across Southern Africa and understands clearly the value-interface between Australian expertise and African opportunity. Allan was a founding member of Walkabout Resources Pty Ltd which was acquired by ASX listed Nimrodel Resources early in 2011. He has previously been on the Boards of several Western Australian explorers.
Aaron Hunter – Non Executive Director
Aaron is an entrepreneur specialising in the acquisition and remodelling of existing businesses. As a result he has acquired broad based experience in General Management, Change Management and commercial problem solving. Aaron has extensive marketing and boardroom experience in both the public and private arena. Aaron is also a Director and major shareholder of a privately owned resource company with considerable land holdings in Papua New Guinea.
